Background-Statement
Gayle Scholl is a retired educator with 28 years experience in elementary and secondary education. She was born in South Dakota and grew up in the Midwest where she acquired the love of skies, a need for closeness with nature, and an appreciation for quiet spaces.
Scholl resides in central Washington where she continues to explore her surroundings through visual arts. She divides her creative time between painting, and photography. "Art making slows time, enhances the moment and deepens my engagement with my environment. Working in several mediums adds to my enthusiasm and creative journey. These spaces, seasons and moods of the days are the forces and inspirations of my art."
